Everything you need to know about New York HintsNew York Hints is an interactive pre-trip preparation platform for visitors to New York City. We offer courses, quizzes, simulations, and checklists to help you feel ready before you arrive – from ESTA and subway tips to budgeting and tipping.
We offer free access to all modules. The platform is completely FREE forever. We do not charge users for any module, quiz, or certificate. Our mission is to make New York trip preparation accessible to everyone.
No, the platform works entirely in your browser (desktop, tablet, or mobile). No installation is required. Alternatively: There is a free Moodle mobile app available for iOS and Android. You can download it if you prefer to access the modules offline.
Most modules take 30–60 minutes. They are designed in short micro-learning modules so you can complete them in breaks – on the subway, at a café, or before bed.
Yes. The platform automatically tracks your progress. You can see which modules you have completed, which badges you have earned, and pick up right where you left off.
Badges are digital awards you earn when you complete a module or a series of activities (e.g., "Subway Pro", "ESTA Expert"). Certificates are downloadable PDFs you can share (e.g., "NYC Ready Certificate").
Currently, all content is in English. We plan to add Greek, Spanish, French, and German support in the future.
At the end of each module, there is a 5-question feedback form. Your comments help us improve. If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you can cancel at any time.
Click "Log in" button on the homepage, enter your email and password, and confirm your account. Registration is FREE.
Yes. Go to "My Profile".
Yes. We use secure SSL connections, do not store payment details directly (all payments are processed through Stripe/PayPal), and have a privacy policy compliant with GDPR. We implement all technical and organizational measures to ensure that your information is secure.
Absolutely. New York Hints is fully responsive, so all modules and quizzes adapt to your screen size. Alternatively: There is a free Moodle mobile app available for iOS and Android. You can download it if you prefer to access the modules offline.
Yes. We offer sponsored modules – interactive activities about your attraction, including custom quizzes, custom videos, badges, certificates and trackable coupons. Our users learn about you before they even arrive in New York. Email us at partners@newyorkhints.com.
Yes. We offer a white label license for travel agents, universities, and larger companies. You can have the platform with your own logo, domain, and offer it to your clients. Yes. For B2B partnerships (sponsored modules, white label, etc.) we issue proper invoices. We can also sign NDAs or Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
As a company based in the European Union we follow GDPR guidelines. We do not sell your data. We only store what is necessary for the platform to function (email, course progress). You can request data deletion at any time. Please read our Privacy Policy.
