New York Hints is committed to ensuring that its Moodle-based learning platform (“the Platform”) is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities.
We strive to provide an inclusive digital learning environment that supports equal access to educational content and functionality, in alignment with internationally recognized accessibility standards and best practices.
2. Accessibility Standards
The Platform is based on Moodle, which is designed with accessibility in mind and continuously developed to comply with:
- Moodle joined the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) in June 2025.
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA
- WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) specifications

- Avoid inaccessible formats (e.g. scanned PDFs without OCR)
